Why can I leave VPN on for BY and RU sites?

Domains ending in .by and .ru open directly by default. Other traffic uses VPN. Add your own exceptions in settings, up to 128 rules.

How do I install it on Windows and Mac?

Windows

Run the installer downloaded from the website. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, click “More info” → “Run anyway”. If a permission prompt shows an unknown publisher, click “Yes”.

macOS

  1. Open the DMG file downloaded from the website.
  2. Drag the Ёжик VPN icon to Applications.
  3. Launch Ёжик VPN from Applications like any other app.
Which AI services work with Ezhik?

Services outside your Direct list use VPN. A service’s availability also depends on its own policies, your account and its current status.

What happens when I change networks?

The app checks the connection and tries to restore it. If it cannot connect, Ezhik shows an error and lets you retry.

How do I open a website without VPN?

Add the site’s domain to the Direct list in app settings and make sure Smart routing is on. Use *.example.com to include subdomains too. Then reopen the website.
